Due to Coronavirus forced slow down in the global production, can a contractor terminate existing agreements with suppliers or sub-suppliers on the grounds of “supervening impossibility” (“impossibilità sopravvenuta”) or force majeure event under Italian law?

Due to the spread of Coronavirus, we are facing a contraction in the demand for products manufactured by Italian companies in several sectors, both locally and globally. What is the law (civil code and case law) with respect to the right of clients/contractors to terminate the contractual relationship with suppliers and/or sub-suppliers?
