Andrea Amato

Andrea Amato specialises in domestic and international litigation, focusing on corporate, contractual, commercial and real estate matters as well as bankruptcy law and insolvency procedures. He also provides strategic assistance and consultancy in the fields of real estate, M&A, consumer law and unfair trade practices. Andrea assists prime corporates, government-owned entities, in Italy and abroad, in relation to public utilities, real estate, information technology and fashion. He is an Italian Court-appointed public receiver of assets and corporations.

Andrea worked for several years in the Milan office of Allen & Overy where he worked on corporate, M&A and banking and finance transactions. Subsequently, he founded his own law firm before becoming a partner of CMP Law.

Andrea graduated in law, summa cum laude, in 2002. He was admitted to the Italian Bar in 2005 and to the Italian Supreme Court Bar in 2018. He holds a Ph.D from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, a masters degree on bankruptcy law and insolvency procedures and a specialization course at Fordham University School of Law, New York, USA; he collaborated on research relating to banking and financial markets with the corporate law department of the University of Milan. His articles have been published in legal journals.
